Cutting the cucumber consists essentially of colloquial expressions at the table. The cucumber was cut only within the clan. The ritual comes from a prehistoric period. Probably the apes could not speak at that stage of development. But they had a more highly developed eyesight than we do today. So they could read (understand) the meaning of cucumber cuts.

Why the humans, lost these skills, during the evolutionary process,  is still unclear. I suspect: A severe drought has destroyed the cucumber harvest over many generations.  They developed speech by mouth In order to survive. In the coming years I will investigate it. I will discover genetic informations in the human DNA, to prove that we are able to read from cucumber-cuts. Dr. Gottlieb Guenzel theorized that the reading of the cucumber was passed to the great apes by the aliens. These views I do not share. Oh well! I think it's the alcohol addiction of my colleagues Guenzel. He does not implement his research funds in hard work, like I do! And he let him serve up the cucumber salad from "women", instead of cutting the cucumber himself. I digress. Sorry. Only daily hard work to exhaustion is bringing science forwards!
